Validation of Rabindrik Value Orientation Questionnaire 12.1.2026

Validation of the Rabindrik Value Orientation Questionnaire

To ensure methodological rigor and eliminate institutional bias, the validation of the Rabindrik Value Orientation Questionnaire was conducted independently through the Government College of Singur. Rabindrik Psychotherapy Research Institute Trust (RPRIT) had no academic or operational involvement in the research process, except for facilitating financial assistance amounting to one lakh rupees to support the study.

The final project report was formally received by RPRIT yesterday. The research employed Item Response Theory (IRT) for empirical validation, ensuring robust psychometric evaluation of the scale across item characteristics and respondent abilities. The application of IRT strengthens the scientific credibility of the instrument and enhances its suitability for advanced research applications.

The findings and methodological framework presented in the report will play a crucial role in designing new doctoral-level research courses and guiding future scholars working on value orientation, measurement science, and indigenous psychological models.

This milestone reflects a significant shift in RPRIT’s academic vision. The Trust is progressively evolving from being primarily a training-oriented institution to emerging as a knowledge hub that generates validated tools, theoretical frameworks, and research-driven academic resources for higher education and policy-oriented psychology.
