3 months Project Proposal

Applied Psychometrics: Empirical Project Plan

Title of the Project
The title should reflect the focus of psychometric assessment and the Rabindrik orientation. For example: 'Assessment of Work Motivation and Rabindrik Value Preferences among Young Professionals.'

Background and Rationale
Applied Psychometrics aims to understand human behavior through measurement and analysis of psychological constructs. This project emphasizes empirical data collection to validate psychometric tools and interpret findings using Rabindrik values. Rabindrik Psychotherapy identifies two layers of consciousness—Path-oriented (self-realizing) and Goal-oriented (achievement-focused) values—that reflect the holistic development of the individual. The integration of these values offers a humanistic perspective to psychometric research. For instance, this project explores how Path-oriented and Goal-oriented Rabindrik values shape occupational motivation and emotional balance among young professionals.

Objectives
The major objectives of the project are to develop or adapt a psychometric tool to measure a selected construct, to collect empirical data from identified beneficiaries, to analyze the reliability, validity, and factor structure of the tool, and to interpret the findings through the Rabindrik value-based lens of holistic human growth.

Beneficiaries
The beneficiaries of this project may include undergraduate or postgraduate students, working professionals, teachers, and community members. Institutions implementing Rabindrik Value-Based training, as well as the RPRIT (Rabindrik Psychotherapy Research Institute Trust) network collaborators, may also gain from the findings. The project will contribute to enhanced self-awareness, value alignment, and a data-driven understanding of psychometric constructs.

Methodology
The project will follow systematic steps to ensure reliability and validity in data collection and interpretation. The process will begin with the selection or adaptation of a psychometric tool based on literature review and content validation. Empirical data will be collected from the identified sample through online or offline methods, followed by data entry and coding in Excel or Jamovi. Reliability will be estimated using Cronbach’s Alpha, and validity will be tested through Exploratory or Confirmatory Factor Analysis. The relationship between Rabindrik values and psychometric constructs will be explored using correlation or regression techniques. Finally, results will be interpreted through the Rabindrik value framework to emphasize holistic psychological understanding.

Probable Budget (₹)
The estimated budget for the 3-month project is approximately ₹5,000. This includes ₹1,000 for data collection (printing and online survey setup), ₹2,000 for participant honorarium, ₹1,000 for software and analysis support, and ₹1,000 for report preparation and dissemination. Institutional or RPRIT support may partially or fully cover these expenses.

Timeline (3 Months)
The project duration will be three months. During the first month, literature review, tool selection, and pilot testing will be conducted. The second month will focus on data collection and preliminary analysis. In the third month, advanced data analysis, interpretation through the Rabindrik lens, and report writing will be completed, followed by presentation or dissemination of findings.

Expected Outcomes
The project will result in the development or validation of a psychometric instrument supported by empirical evidence. Students and researchers will gain practical exposure to reliability, validity, and factor analysis procedures. The project will also promote Rabindrik Value-Oriented understanding of human behavior, integrating psychological assessment with cultural and ethical consciousness. A research report will be prepared that can be presented in academic forums or submitted for publication.

References
A list of 4–5 references following APA style should be included at the end. These may cover psychometric theory, value-based psychology, and Rabindrik psychotherapy literature relevant to the project.
