About the trust:  It is a higher learning virtual research institute aiming at educating students about research for the welfare of the larger community through online and blended education. Recent Achievements & Recognition
RPRIT is the registered vendor for Tata Power in psychometric assessment.  RPRIT has a strong track record of mentoring undergraduate students through research internships. In 2024, RPRIT offered research internships to 11 undergraduate students from Maharaja Manindra Chandra College on psychometric data analysis and 13 students from the department of applied psychology of the University of Calcutta. RPRIT received appreciation letters from these institutions in recognition of its contribution to student research and skill development. 

Additionally, RPRIT is proud to announce the publication of a book on statistics, developed in collaboration with Acharya Bangalore B-School (ABBS), Bangalore. This initiative brings together esteemed scholars, including Dutta Roy Sir, President of RPRIT, along with Prof. Naresh Babu and Dr. Sharma from ABBS. This collaboration reflects RPRIT’s commitment to advancing statistical knowledge and its practical applications in research and analysis.


About Internship 
In this advanced internship, students will learn to analyze:
- Intra-individual, inter-individual, intra-group, and inter-group variability
- Data-driven insights into human value preferences
- Design, implementation, and presentation of independent research projects.

1. Introduction
The Rabindrik Psychotherapy Research Institute Trust (RPRIT), a non-profit academic trust established on July 1, 2018, promotes research and training in psychometrics and value-based human behavior aligned with the tenets of Rabindrik Psychotherapy. This expanded 120-hour internship is designed to provide undergraduates with hands-on exposure to rank-based data science using Excel, while applying value-based reasoning in real-life research projects.

In this advanced internship, students will learn to analyze:
- Intra-individual, inter-individual, intra-group, and inter-group variability
- Data-driven insights into human value preferences
- Design, implementation, and presentation of independent research projects
2. Learning Objectives
By the end of the internship, participants will:
- Understand Rabindrik Path- and Goal-Oriented Values in context
- Apply rank-order scaling for value analysis
- Collect and interpret real-world data using Excel
- Visualize trends, variability, and comparative findings
- Conduct independent research and write a structured report
- Develop presentations for academic dissemination
3. Weekly Modules
Week 1: Orientation & Conceptual Foundations (5 hours)
- Introduction to Rabindrik Values and therapeutic background
- Basics of rank order scaling and self-ranking exercise
- Creating Google Forms for value data collection
- Excel basics: data entry and sorting

Week 2: Designing Rank Order Scales (10 hours)
- Constructing valid and reliable value rank scales
- Value dimension planning and item framing
- Developing Excel templates for ranking
- Peer review of draft scale

Week 3: Data Collection Preparation (5 hours)
- Planning systematic data collection process
- Ethical considerations and consent form preparation
- Sample size and respondent list planning

Week 4: Data Collection & Entry (10 hours)
- Data collection from minimum 20 respondents
- Excel data entry, cleaning, validation
- Weekly mentoring on difficulties faced

Week 5: Descriptive Analysis (10 hours)
- Calculating mean, median, mode, SD of ranks
- Excel functions: COUNTIF, RANK, STDEV.S
- Basic visualization: bar graphs, pie charts

Week 6: Group Comparison (10 hours)
- Using pivot tables and conditional formatting
- Gender- and age-wise analysis of Rabindrik values
- Creating comparative charts and interpreting trends

Week 7: Advanced Analysis & Patterns (10 hours)
- Identifying intra-group and inter-individual patterns
- Value variability and preference distribution
- Discussion on value shift over time

Week 8: Mid-Report Submission (5 hours)
- Writing draft report in APA format
- Title, abstract, introduction, method section

Week 9: Research Project Proposal (10 hours)
- Forming research groups and selecting topics
- Hypothesis generation using Rabindrik value model

Week 10: Independent Data Collection (10 hours)
- Data collection for project-specific hypothesis testing
