UGC guidelines for undergraduate internship

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued guidelines to promote internships for undergraduate students under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, aiming to enhance employability, skill development, and experiential learning. Here are the key points of the UGC Guidelines for Undergraduate Internship: 1. Duration and Credit Allocation Internships are mandatory and should be a part of the undergraduate curriculum. Minimum duration: 8–10 weeks (approx. 2–3 months). Internships carry 2 to 4 credits, depending on the duration and effort. 2. Types of Internships Research internships with faculty or institutions. Industry internships in private or public sectors. Social or community engagement internships (NGOs, Panchayats, local bodies). Entrepreneurial internships or field-based projects. 3. RPRIT Seeks Passionate Volunteers! 1. Help us promote our 6-month School Psychology with Rabindrik Psychotherapy Course, starting April 16, 2025. 2. Roles: Social Media, Outreach, Event Support.  2.1 Social Media Volunteers: Create and share content online to promote the course, boosting RPRIT’s digital presence. 2.2 Outreach Volunteers: Connect with schools, colleges, and communities to spread awareness and attract participants. 2.3 Event Support Volunteers: Assist in organizing and running promotional events like webinars or workshops 3.Time Commitment: 2 hours per week.  4.Reward: Earn a certificate upon completion 5.
