2. What is Rabindrik Psychotherapy ?
Rabindrik Psychotherapy refers to the evidence based psychotherapeutic treatment to enhance mental wellness, meaningfulness in life and positive imagination using therapeutic postulates extracted from Rabindra Sangeet. Here Psychotherapy refers to self awakening therefore service receiver is more active in exploring changes across three layers of own consciousness through Rabisangeet or other creative arts of Rabindranath Tagore. Rabindra sangeet is the composition of several songs composed by seer poet and noble laureate Rabindranath Tagore.
This therapy is real time, object oriented, auto suggestive treatment guided by the powerful positive metaphors. It enhances subjective well-being, reduces stress, and distracts patients from unpleasant symptoms. Rabindrik Psychotherapy assumes that consciousness is composed of three layers namely, Murta, Raag and Saraswat. Depression occurs when any of the layer experiences turbulent flow. Function of therapist is to locate the loci of consciousness, it's dynamic movement and determinants. Accordingly therapist customizes the environment through which service receiver finds way to enhance subjective well-being.
