Course Title: Internship for Research in Environmental Science.

Course Objective: This course is specially meant for the students who wish to have clear understanding about research on various areas of environmental sciences and attitude scale construction at the basic level related to pro-environmental behavior - environmental conservation, recycling, reuse etc. In this course, You will learn –

 Introduction to Natural Environment,
 Theories of environmental protection in order to protect the natural environment (land ,air, water, plants, and animals),
 Planning and management (special emphasize will be given on River Management in context of India).
 Concept of Attitude
 Principles of attitude scale construction,
 Construction of items,
 Basic Statistics (Measurement scales- nominal, ordinal, interval, Ratio.  Central tendency and Variability, skewness, kurtosis, normal probability distribution, Cross tabulation statistics. Mean differences, Correlation),
 Numeric and text data analysis in excel and R software (Data imprt-export, vector and vectorization, Data extraction, Dataframe, apply, tapply, line chart, stem-leaf, Bar chart, Box whisker plot, cross tabulation, Q-Q plot),
 Concept of validity and reliability in respect to scale construction.
 Writing report/paper/dissertation/journal.


Course Outcomes :
After the course student can develop-
 Concept of natural environment and biodiversity and its’ implementation processes in context of professional domain (like biodiversity board of state government).
 Skills in writing reports-papers-dissertation for publication; these knowledge will enhance the opportunity to get engagement in different research projects.

Course Contents:

Paper 1:    -Natural Environment and Biodiversity.
-Environmental policies and history.

Paper 2: -Theories - Environmental factor theory,
-Theory of planned behavior,
-Environmental citizenship model.

Paper 3: -Pro-environmental attitude and behavior. 
-Attitude change theories.

Paper 4: -Measurement of Attitude,
-Attitude scale construction,
-Psychometric properties of Attitude scale.

Paper 5: -Virtual academic visit and Report Writing, 

 
Assignment and project evaluation.
Pedagogy: Lecture, assignment and Report/Paper Writing.
Eligibility:  Graduates or Post Graduates in Environmental Science/Environmental Psychology/Plant Science/Conservation/ Ecology/Environmental Engineering/Zoology/Botany.
Admission: Written and interview.
Course Duration: Three Months (Total 30 Hours Classes )
Timing: 2days in a week. (Evening)**

Mode of this course: Online (Google Meet or Zoom, Google classroom)
Material: Study material will be provided in Google Classroom. (After the registration students will be added in Google Classroom) .

Attendance: 75% attendance is mandatory.
Certificate: Course completion certificate and mark-sheet with grade will be awarded based on evaluation of assignment, report presentation and viva-voce.

About The Institute:

    Rabindrik Psychotherapy Research Institute Trust was established on 1st July, 2018. The Trust is Educational by nature and to carry out research in Academic field and to promote the study and dissemination of knowledge of Rabindrik Psychotherapy based on the works of Rabindranath Tagore for the welfare of the community at large without discrimination of caste, creed etc. with objects and constitution are as hereinafter set forth. It is a non-profit Making trust, registered under Indian Trust Act, 1882. Currently this institute has more than 100 certified students. This institute is engaged in dissemination of knowledge through academic courses, seminars and workshops. Students are trained here by internal and external faculties. This institute offers a set of skill development courses under academic assistants. Each course will be beneficial for school teachers, professional counselors, administration and the parents in general. The course is graded from theory, assessment, assignment and project. In each course students will get a flavor of Rabindrik Psychotherapy Postulates. RPRIT has conducted more than 65 workshops and some of the workshops are based on Research Methodology, Data Analysis through R-Programming, School Psychology theory based workshop, Regression statistics on school psychology etc. In this institute, there are few ongoing skill development certification courses .Those are Story therapy, Drawing Therapy, Dance Therapy, Educational Dance for Children, Profile Matching based career counseling and Data Analysis through R programming. Recently we have completed one course on ‘Attitude scale construction for Measuring Pro-environmental Environmental attitude’. Institute encourages students of other institutions and they obtained Best Paper Awards. Home students could interact with professors of Visva-Bharati and Tata Institute of Social Sciences. It is felt that the course has high viability in national and international project management.
